B+ Very Good Condition (Nice condition, lightly used, may have a dog ear or owner’s name.)
B Good Condition (Obviously used, may have a spot or two of soil, or a gift inscription or owner name.)
B- Good Minus Condition (Obviously used, with one or more of the following flaws including medium soil, small tears, weak hinges, creased pages or other medium flaws.)
C Cooking Copy Condition (VERY used with one or more obvious flaws: soil, writing, pasted in recipes, small tears, unprofessional repairs, etc...)
C- Poor Condition Cooking Copy (Every page soiled, binding weak, heavily used... not pretty).
